Sonic announcesCineVision® version 3.5
22 SEPTEMBER 2010
Sonic has announced the release of CineVision®, version 3.5. This release features comprehensive support for Blu-ray 3D encoding using the MVC (Multi-view Coding) standard. CineVision 3.5 features support for a whole new codec and workflow. Despite this huge leap in technology, Sonic has worked hard to maintain the same unique usability, control, and encode quality CineVision users have become accustomed to.
Features include:
-
Comprehensive MVC (Multi-view Coding) Support – Create stunning 3D encodes for your Blu-ray 3D titles. CineVision 3.5 features precise control over every detail of your MVC encoding parameters.
-
Independent Base and Dependent View Controls – CineVision 3.5 enables you to set independent target and maximum bit rate parameters for each stream (Base and Dependent).
-
Built-in Blu-ray 3D Format Legalization – Version 3.5 ensures every MVC encoding parameter you set is legal for use on Blu-ray 3D titles, leaving you to concentrate on fine tuning your 3D encode without having to worry about format compliance.
-
Segment Re-encoding – Fine tune your 3D encodes with CineVision’s advanced segment encoding toolset, including mutli-take segment management and auditioning.
-
New Timeline Display – Version 3.5’s new timeline provides detailed information - Bit rate, PSNR, and Quantization - for both Base and Dependent streams.
-
Integrated 3D Preview and QC – CineVision 3.5 features integrated 3D MVC preview, enabling compressionists to review completed encodes on professional 3D video monitors directly from the CineViion timeline (NVIDIA hardware required). You can even QC each stream (left and right eye) in 2D.
- Seamless Integration with Scenarist® BD – CineVision 3.5 creates Blu-ray 3D legal streams that are compatible with all authoring platforms but has been specifically designed to integrate seamlessly with Scenarist BD to ensure your Blu-ray 3D workflow is fast and efficient.
